Martini Moments… While Contemplating a Bottle of Absolut 100
1. I have a need for a temporary new distraction, something to occupy a little spare time, but one that doesn’t involve a blog, Facebook or Twitter. I feel as if I’m suffering from a multiple personality disorder.
2. With the incessant rain, the rolling clouds and a wintry chill in the air, all I want to do is chase rainbows.
3. Seven more posts to go. For what? You may ask or you may guess. It’s been a long time since anyone has called me a tease.
4. When missing someone from our lives, be it a friend or a significant other, there’s a fine line between missing them as a person and missing what was shared together.
5. Life can be like a bottle of Absolut 100. It can gives you 100 proof alcohol but leaves a rough and rustic aftertaste.

Re: #3 – What is your definition of a long time?
1. I think the solution to that is called a real life. I’ve heard of it. Works wonders with a lot of people.
2. And why shouldn’t you? When the day couldn’t look any more gloomy, what’s left to do is to make it a little brighter.
3. Tease. It’s for um…uh…what is it for actually?
4. Or maybe it could be both. After all, it is our experience with them that defines what makes them as real a person to us.
5. And a searing burning sensation at the back of your throat.
Justin:
#3 – how long is a piece of string?
Kami:
1. I have a busy one of those. I need a temporary distraction from it.
3. I asked for it, didn’t I… 7 more…
4. Unless someone else can provide what was shared.
5. I reserve that for a whiskey! Absolut 100 is just rough around the edges.
1. I have one word and one model number to say to you. Nokia E71. =)
2. Well, they say if life throws you eggs, make omelettes, so why not!
3. (Counting ) Wait… it’s… oh no… hang on… (counting again).. Oh! Of course… 7 posts till your much anticipated end of year post!
4. That’s a rather wistful remark, the true meaning of which probably should remain unknown to us.
5. Are you saying life isn’t like Tequilla then?
Gboy:
1. Nice toy! Got my eye on the next generation iPhone, but it’s a luxury I can’t afford now.
2. And if it throws lemons, make Margaritas.
3. Yes! The new financial year
4. Right. I’ll say no more then.
5. Depends if you’ve been thrown lemons (see #2). A shot of Jose Cuervo Gold would go down very nicely
1. How about seasons 1-4 of (the new) Battlestar Gallactica? I myself have fallen into this hole, and I find that it really hits the spot. Hi Cléa.
Why not take the next plane to Paris…
Peefer: Good idea. I have Star Trek TOS packs so that’s a good starting point as well. Hi Peefer.
Sidney: Now you’re talking!
First – I LOVE your blog header. Gorgeous!
#4? I totally came to that realization this past weekend. I was missing a friend but I realized that I didn’t necessarily miss her – I missed how we used to be. Weird.
SM: Thank you
It changes to reflect the seasons, at the moment it’s brrr…
#4 – Strangely enough, so did I (again) last night, not that #4 is about it. An evening spent with friends was like the old days and I realised that although these people are still in my life, what I missed was what it used to be.
Nice! Still can write, I see
Jarod: Thank you! And lovely to see you back
