Being

There are times…

When I prefer the symphony of the ocean waves to the thumping tunes of my iPod.

When I choose the soothing palette of blues and turquoise to a black and white printed tome.

When I seek the warm caress of the ocean breeze over an indifferent human touch.

When I dream of the kiss of the midday sun all over my skin instead of the squeeze of a hand.

When I covet the company of seagulls and fish to the sounds of inane chatter.

When I just sink my toes in the warm sand and just… be.

To let yourself go in a place where you feel at peace.

I think at this point in time, we all need that.

Thank you for reminding us what we really need in our lives.

Sidney: Ah…et la joie de vivre aussi.

Peefer: Make it so. If only it were so easy.

I think the comfort of nature can be more soothing than other offerings.

Almost needless to say, but I relate to this on so many levels. ;)

Egan: At times we need one over the other. Or both.

Gboy: I’d probably add floating on water in your case, but yes, sounds like you do :)
