There are times…
When I prefer the symphony of the ocean waves to the thumping tunes of my iPod.
When I choose the soothing palette of blues and turquoise to a black and white printed tome.
When I seek the warm caress of the ocean breeze over an indifferent human touch.
When I dream of the kiss of the midday sun all over my skin instead of the squeeze of a hand.
When I covet the company of seagulls and fish to the sounds of inane chatter.
When I just sink my toes in the warm sand and just… be.

“When I choose the soothing palette of blues and turquoise to a black and white printed tome.” – I do the same thing.
You are talking about reading your blog, aren’t you?
To let yourself go in a place where you feel at peace.
I think at this point in time, we all need that.
Thank you for reminding us what we really need in our lives.
Justin: Oh no. Something I can see and touch. And the sea talks to me…
Kami: Enjoying and living in the moment. At times, that’s the best thing to do.
Le début de la sagesse.
I want this most of the time.
Me too. Sigh.
Sidney: Ah…et la joie de vivre aussi.
Peefer: Make it so. If only it were so easy.
Trée: A truly serene state of being yet so difficult to reach.
I think the comfort of nature can be more soothing than other offerings.
Almost needless to say, but I relate to this on so many levels.
Egan: At times we need one over the other. Or both.
Gboy: I’d probably add floating on water in your case, but yes, sounds like you do
I love this post. It just embodies who you are so nicely.
EM: Thank you. I never quite thought of it this way.
