Martini Moments… while Blog Navel Gazing
1. ^^^^ Oh Dear… A recent Google search on my domain name revealed this gem. Has Google released GMindReader and nobody told me? I’m afraid. Very afraid.
2. Being a control freak means that the transition to being Mistress of my Domain has been well worth the effort. Once you take the reins of your blog, you won’t want to relinquish them even when Google takes nearly 5 months to send traffic your way.
3. I have always maintained that for a blog to work successfully for me, it needs a resident Muse. The one that has settled down here has made himself way too comfortable and I need to kick his arse once in a while.
4. A change is like a well-needed holiday, so I’m contemplating a lighter look and feel for this place. BUT I like the red and black colour scheme that has become this site’s trademark. I wonder if a new banner pic could do the trick.
5. Whilst I’m blog navel gazing, and clearing out the lint, I’m also considering a blog name change. Could it be that I am no longer BeMused about the world?

I love that your muses are male.

Those are some funny tags! It’s certainly not a blog for the uptight. I like the red and black, but as a guy it’s sort of a law that I like red and black. The banner’s cool too, but if you want to change it how about a picture of a bunch of 50’s women holding martinis?

1. Mmmm…someone’s definitely in the mood now.
2. It’s hard to let go of any sort of traffic, especially one you’ve worked so hard to build. Power has its price, and its rewards. We might as well savour every moment.
3. Complacency is the bug that’s crawled underneath your shirt after you’ve slept too long under the tree on a nice spring day.
4. I could probably whip up something for you since I know you’re using WordPress. Maybe I should seeing I need a change of pace every now and again. That is….if you’d like me to.
5. All the world can’t tell that. Only you can tell yourself what you are.

Well, you could change the name to “Size Matters in Food and Sex” and apparently get the same “hits.”

Sicilian: Hehe… there can be no other way! The old Muse was sheer brilliance. This one has his moments… and they’re not Martini Moments!
Jarod: Certainly not. Hence the naughty observations as seen through the mischievous eye…
There’s an unwritten law that men like red and black? Wow… I like the colours because I feel they can be classy at times but fun. And I like the Martini idea for the banner.
Kami:
1. Google?
2. Traffic can be gold, and a nuisance at times. Blogspot brings a lot of random hits almost immediately while a site like this takes time.
3. I feel itchy all of a sudden…
4. I think the control freak in me likes to do it on her own but is open to ideas. Thanks for the kind offer :).
5. BeMused wears a question mark. That I am certain of.
Zen: OOh yeah! I should try that for a week and report what happens!

I would like to suggest the name, “GradSchoolRejectLoveFestSuperStud” as your new blog name. You know…if you have to change. And “yes” you can use my name - consider this your advanced approval
June 28th, 2008 at 4:45 am
NO, not another name change. I can only remember a certain amount of new names per year. Please note this.
June 28th, 2008 at 3:57 pm
GSR: So you give me a pre-approved, royalty free license to use the GradSchoolRejectLoveFestSuperStud (notice I repeated it for the sake of Mr Google
) and I can become you? Well, we could swap blogs for a day, when you make a comeback, but i doubt your halo would survive it!
Egan: I know… first bemused then Cléa. My name isn’t changing but the blog name might, and if it does, private tuition pour Monsieur Lessinges, aka, Flamboyant Egan. See, I remember names!

1. I’ve never done a google search for my domain name. Hmm, might try that sometime.
2. Traffic, schmaffic. lol
3. Kickin’ “arses” should do the trick. “Arses”, lol.
4. It’s in the water lately, lol — changes still to come to my place at some point.
But, if you think YOUR place is dark, I hate to think what you consider MINE. lmao
5. NOooooooooo, please not another name change.

Lil Bit:
2. Yeah, but in the end nobody wants to talk to the void. Gets boring!
4. Yours suits the mood and ambience especially with the purple. I’m not really into dark, but I like the hint of class with the colours here.
1. I wonder what lil surprises await you!
3. “Asses” sounds too soft, and the word ‘ass” makes me giggle. Now give me an arse any day!
5. Another vote for No! Hmm… something tells me neither I nor my readers are ready for it yet!
